Roulette rules

Roulette centres around a spinning wheel and a small ball on that wheel.  The game begins by players placing their bets on the table (see below).  Once all bets are down, the wheel is spun one way, while the ball is rolled the other around the outside of the wheel.  When the wheel and ball slow, the ball comes to rest on one of 38 possible compartments...numbered 1 to 36, 0 and (in most cases) 00.

You win if your bet included the number that the ball lands on.

The 11 bet types…

Betting inside:

• 1 number, 35 to 1 payout if you win
  Put your chip (or chips) on any number from 1 to 36, or 0 and 00. Be sure your chips are inside the square and do not touch the line.

•  2 numbers, 17 to 1 payout if you win
  Put your chip (or chips) on the line between two numbers. If either number comes up you win. 

• 3 numbers, 11 to 1 payout if you winy
  To choose a row of 3 numbers position your bet on the line that separates the inside and outside areas. 

• 4 numbers, 8 to 1 payout if you win
  Put your chip (or chips) on a four-number intersection. You win if one of the four numbers comes up. 

• 5 numbers, 6 to 1 payout if you win, 
  We recommend you don’t make this bet! It's the only one that gives the house an extra 2.5% advantage! 

• 6 numbers, 5 to 1 payout if you win
  This bet is placed between two three-number rows on the line that divides the inside and outside fields.

Betting outside: 

• 12 number column bet, 2 to 1 payout if you win
  Put your chip (or chips) in one of the spots marked 2-1 at the opposite end of zero and double zero. 

• 12 number numerical bet, 2 to 1 payout if you win
  Choose between 1st, 2nd, and 3rd twelve. You're betting on numbers 1 to 12, 13 to 24, or 25 to 36 respectively. 

• 18 numbers red / black, 1 to 1 payout if you win
  Put your chip(s) on the red or black diamond. 18 numbers odd / even, 1 to 1 payout if you win, put your chip(s) on the odd or even sections. 

• 18 numbers high / low, 1 to 1 payout if you win
  Put your chip(s) on the 1 to 18 or the 19 to 35 sections. 

• 18 numbers odd/even, 1 to 1 payout if you win
  Put your chip(s) on the odd or even section.
